You saw it here first

Ack! My darlings, don't you just love when the things you love come together? Like Amy Adams and Clint Eastwood in a movie together or burlap and lace in home decor. Or...

The Verona Gown from Kelsey Genna's debut boutique collection

Just two weeks ago I was blabbering on about the greatness of Matchbook, and, Last March one of Miss Genna's designs caught my eye while I was hunting for inspiration on Etsy. You might remember the sweet Begonia Dress from her Etsy shop...

 ...and the garter it inspired.

Well now, Kelsey has an online boutique...

...the Begonia Dress has a few chic new friends...

Also, how gorgeous is the designer?

Go! Bask in the loveliness! Just remember, you saw it here first.

Stuff and Things: Wednesday

I'm not here right now and there is no beep after which you can leave a message. Instead, I'm using this week off to share some things I found Pinteresting.

One of the books on my "want" list is The Dress Doctor, 1959 by costume designer Edith Head.  I have no idea if that's where this quote was originally found, but I do know I like this woman already.

Have you read it?

As I said, there is no beep prompting you to leave a message, but I'd love to read your comments below.

Look, something pretty!

It has been quite a week. I'm not lacking for material to post just the time needed to make it coherent.  So please allow me to distract you with this gorgeous little black dress from Johnny Bechard.

My new best friend

You remember how I went just gaga  over the ensemble of NPJ bride Autumn B. Well, that sweet lovely girl happily hooked me up with her dress designer, Wesleann Polkowski! My darlings, I have found a kindred spirit, fellow Joss Whedon fan, and muse all wrapped up in a quirky little package with a sass-pot bow!

Parts of the following interview were edited for length, clarity, and because Wesleann asked that I not let her "come off as bat-shit crazy. "

Hi, my name is Wesleann and I like to sew things.

Read more about Wes after the jump.
